Perhaps you saw her at our 2018 4th Annual UT Blues Fest?!  Founding member, lead singer, and bass player of Kansas City blues-rock band Trampled Under Foot, Danielle Nicole stepped out on her own in 2015 with her debut album “Wolf Den.” In 2018, she followed up with her Grammy nominated Concord Records release "Cry No More."  "I grew up playing the blues, and the blues is still a big part of what I do. But now I'm reaching out more and trying different things. It still sounds like me, but I'm stretching out a lot more than I have previously."

Florida's finest. Making his Utah debut (it's about time and will be worth the wait!), vocalist and guitarist Albert Castiglia (CA-STEEL-YA)!  His latest release, "Masterpiece" was just nominated (1/7/20) by the Blues Foundation for "Blues Rock Album of the Year" and he was nominated for "Blues Rock Artist of the Year"!  Whoa!!!!!

Due to circumstances beyond our control (obviously!), we have made the near obligatory decision to postpone the 6th Annual Blues Fest to June 10 & 11, 2022, once again with the exact same line-up. But fear not, we are working with other entities/fests to have a major blues night so stay tuned for that!

Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio—or as it is sometimes referred to, DLO3—specialize in the lost art of “feel good music.” The ingredients of this intoxicating cocktail include a big helping of the 1960s organ jazz stylings of Jimmy Smith and Baby Face Willette; a pinch of the snappy soul strut of Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Meters; and sprinkles Motown, Stax Records, blues, and cosmic Jimi Hendrix-style guitar.

Utah's own Jordan Matthew Young (who finished in the top 3 on The Voice in 2021) joins our other Utah friend  and harmonica master Tony Holiday for a rocking night of blues at The State Room!  The 5th, and last, in a series of blues shows in the last 2 weeks sponsored by your UTAH BLUES FESTIVAL.

Sarah DeGraw, and then J-Rad Cooley celebrating his brand new VizzTone Record release, "Yard Sale"  (produced by Tony Holiday and featuring Grammy nominee Victor Wainwright on Keys throughout half the record!). 

The Utah Blues Society is hosting a Pre-Fest UBS Member Appreciation Party on June 9th!! Nick Moss & Dennis Gruenling (w/ special guest, Kate Moss) will be performing at The State Room that night.
